Search resource contents

Our search feature now automatically scans the text within resources to ensure you find exactly what you need in seconds. Every word within your resources is now at your fingertips.

For example, a search for “purpose-built platform” will return PDFs, Documents, Presentations, and other files containing that text:

We've taken it a step further by making text within images searchable too. Now, diagrams, charts, and screenshots are no longer just visual aids—they’re part of your searchable content library. Retrieving text from images even works when the text is slanted, colored, tiny, blurry, or in non-English languages:

Results are intelligently ranked, with the most pertinent content sorted to the top of your search results. These capabilities help members find content faster than before and help you get the most out of the valuable resources hosted within Roundtable.

Automatically generate searchable and interactive video captions

Elevate your video content with our captioning feature that not only generates captions automatically but also makes them fully searchable and interactive.

This feature ensures that videos are accessible to everyone by providing clear and accurate captions.

Members can quickly locate videos by searching for keywords that appear in the video captions. This means your members can find the exact content they need in seconds, without requiring additional time spent tagging or describing the video.

Upload: Simply upload your video – a training or meeting recording, for example – to the Roundtable platform.
Automatic caption generation: Our technology automatically generates captions for your video, synchronizing them accurately with the audio.
Search: Members can search for keywords within the captions to quickly find the content they’re looking for.

Enhanced link previews and resource thumbnails

Enhance your posts with our new automatic link preview feature, designed to provide a richer, more engaging experience.

Automatic detection: Whenever you include a link in the body of your post, our system automatically generates a preview of the link. This preview provides a snapshot of the linked content, giving your audience a quick glimpse of what to expect.
Editable previews: You have control over the link preview. If you prefer not to show the preview, you can easily delete it when creating or editing your post. Keep in mind that deleting or modifying the link in the text body will not remove the link preview; it must be manually removed from the preview section. Only one link preview is displayed.

We’ve also introduced a new feature to enhance the visibility and accessibility of attached resources in posts and comments.

Visual previews: When you attach resources such as PDFs, Docs, or PowerPoint files to your posts or comments, a thumbnail preview of the file will now be displayed. This visual representation helps users quickly identify the content of the attachments at a glance.
Easy identification: Thumbnails provide an instant visual cue about the type and content of the attached files, making it easier for users to decide whether to open and explore the resources.

Enhancements

Improvements to our platform that continue to make it powerful and easy-to-use.

[🔔 Notifications] Updated copy of the "reply-to-email" disclosure to make it clearer that replying will create a comment.
[✍️ Onboarding] Member role/job title is now required during onboarding.
[🤖 Performance] Opening a resource preview via a search result is now a bit faster.
[📰 Posts] Display of events and polls on posts is more user-friendly.
[📰 Posts] When viewing a standalone post pressing the "Feed" tab now navigates the user to the Feed.
[📇 Profiles] Multiple member badges are displayed on the same line in the member directory.
[📚 Resources] Resources can have descriptions when uploaded via the resource library.
[📚 Resources] Resource descriptions are displayed in quick search.
[📚 Resources] Powerpoint files can be viewed directly in the product.
[📚 Resources] Word (.doc) files can be viewed directly in the product.
[📚 Resources] Icons and visual separator added to resources table row options dropdown.
[📚 Resources] Resource table now displays icons representing the "type" of the resource.
[🔍 Search] Quick search past and future events are differentiated.
[🔍 Search] Quick search resource and post tags are highlighted when matching the query.
[🔍 Search] Quick search categories are reordered to reflect user searching behavior.
[🔍 Search] Quick search matches on Member "Interests" and "Skills".

[📅 Events] Long meeting links are now displayed properly.
[🧭 Navigation] Community icon and title no longer collide on smaller devices.
[✍️ Onboarding] Sign-in and sign-up pages no longer allow redirecting to other domains.
[📰 Posts] Published posts can no longer be saved as drafts.
[📰 Posts] Post action icons are now properly positioned on hidden and welcome posts on smaller devices.
[📇 Profiles] Long community names no longer overlap the input container in the member profile posts tab.
