AI-powered resource summarization

Generate a brief summary to get the gist of any text-based resource in Roundtable.

Roundtable now features a "summarize" button for quick overviews of text-based resources. This allows members to generate concise summaries before diving into the full content, ensuring a faster understanding of key points.

Members can provide feedback on the helpfulness of each summary, ensuring that we're continuously improving the accuracy and relevance of the summaries provided. Importantly, all content remains private within Roundtable, and no data is used to train AI models. For more, see Our Approach to AI at Roundtable.

Featured resources and external links

Community Managers can now enhance the visibility of key resources by featuring them within the resource library.

Featuring a resource makes it easier for members to access by prominently displaying the resource at the top of the library. Up to 6 featured resources can be added by the community manager and changed at any time.

The resource library now also allows members to add external resources not directly hosted on Roundtable, such as training sites, relevant articles, or grant hosting pages. On the Resources tab, members can choose to upload a resource or add an external link. These links are displayed with a link icon in the resources table, and clicking them opens the webpage in a new tab. Additionally, the link's "Title" and "Description" fields are automatically pre-filled with suggested text based on the site's content.

Search analytics

Gain insight into member search behavior, identifying unanswered questions and opportunities to fill content gaps.

Community managers can request search analytics for their community, including top searches with and without results. This data helps managers understand timely popular topics for members, optimize content creation, and better meet members' needs.

Organization directory

Easily view and manage information about the organizations in your network.

Each organization profile can track information including the location of headquarters, the website, affiliated members, and any additional free text information.

The Organization directory, accessible from the top navigation bar, allows you to create new organization profiles, with the creator becoming the admin who can manage and edit the profile. Members can view these organization profiles through the directory, member profiles, and soon, via search.

Enhancements

Improvements to our platform that continue to make it powerful and easy-to-use.

[🏠 Homepage] Communities can now have a "host" that is displayed on the homepage.

[📰 Posts] Attachment thumbnails on posts & comments show an overlay with the file type and filename.
[📰 Posts] Improved emoji picker, with more emojis, a “frequently used” section, and a built-in search bar.
[📰 Posts] Post link previews now handle security-wrapped links and do not display broken thumbnails.
[📰 Posts] Friendlier thumbnails for restricted links in link previews and featured resources.
[📰 Posts] The ❤️ emoji is now available on post/comment reactions and message reactions.
[📰 Posts] Community Managers can enable/disable the "reply to comment via email” feature for their community.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Community Managers can choose to require that members enable 2FA (two-factor authentication) in order to access their community.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Community Managers can include an optional message to members when reviewing their request to join a community.
[🧭 Navigation] New-and-improved filters on Feed, Members, and Resources tabs.
[🧭 Navigation] Menus are now keyboard accessible, allowing you to consistently open and select values using just the keyboard.
[🧭 Navigation] Icon updates for improved usability, maintainability, and consistency.
[📚 Resources] CSVs and Excel files share the same "Spreadsheet" file type icon.
[📚 Resources] Members can give feedback on the helpfulness of AI-generated summaries.

Fixes

[📅 Events] Event meeting links no longer allow whitespaces.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] "More options" button is now properly centered in the Member management table.
[🧭 Navigation] Members are no longer redirected back to the login screen after logging in.
[🧭 Navigation] Members no longer see the "Not Found" page immediately after login.
[🔔 Notifications] "Update your email settings" link in email notifications now takes you to the /notifications tab of your profile.
[🔔 Notifications] Long text no longer overflows in-app notification dialog.
[📇 Profiles] Organization field in the member profile shows a friendlier validation error.
[📇 Profiles] Posts in profile now use standard post width.
