External website search

External website search allows you to search the content of publicly-accessible websites, making it easier to find information directly from within Roundtable.

There may be content valuable to your members that is not hosted directly within Roundtable: for example, government websites, resource libraries, or your program’s homepage.

We want to save your members time by making it easier to find that information directly from within Roundtable. External website search allows you to connect any public site to your community in Roundtable, allowing members to see external website results directly in their search.

If there are trusted websites that would be helpful to connect to your Roundtable community, please reach out to your community managers or contact us at support@civicroundtable.com.

AI-powered discussion summarization

Instantly summarize a post and its comments into a digestible brief.

Post summaries save members time by making it easy to get the gist of a long post, or to keep up with discussion threads without needing to read every comment. The new “Summarize” button appears when there’s a lot of information to digest, such as long posts or ones with many comments. Members can provide feedback on the helpfulness of the summary, which is used by Roundtable to improve the experience.

AI-powered video summarization

Automatically generate concise summaries of uploaded videos to get the gist before diving deeper.

Long trainings, webinars, and hearings can be overwhelming, often running for over an hour. Now you can quickly grasp the key points of any video and decide if you want to dive deeper into the full recording. Summaries for longer videos (>5min) are presented in a table-of-contents format with associated timestamps, making it even easier to skip to the relevant sections and prioritize your time effectively.

Search suggestions

Search suggestions help quickly guide members to relevant results by displaying popular searches as they type.

These suggestions appear in the quick search box as members type. Suggestions are based on the most frequent searches by your peers that successfully find results. By selecting search suggestions, members can perform their searches more quickly, avoid searches that don’t return any results, and maybe even discover new information they find useful.

[📇 Profiles] Organization profile "About" field is optional.
[📇 Profiles] Members who have not uploaded a profile image have avatars with first/last initials.
[📇 Profiles] Members must be in at least 1 Community to see the Organization Directory and to have the ability to create new Organization profiles.
[📚 Resources] More friendly error message when a resource summary can't be generated.
[🔍 Search] Organization profiles are available in quick search.
[🔍 Search] Quick search now consolidates "Posts" and "Comments" into a single "Discussions" section.

[🏠 Homepage] "Edit community" description toolbar no longer wraps to multiple lines on desktop.
[💬 Messages] Message attachments close button is no longer hidden behind the navigation bar.
[🧭 Navigation] The font size on the "About" tab is now normally sized when accepting an invite to join a Community.
[🧭 Navigation] Applying filters no longer moves the page vertically.
[🔔 Notifications] Post and comment notifications no longer have "true" text littered throughout.
[📰 Posts] Facebook link previews in posts now render correctly.
[📰 Posts] Able to consistently copy-paste text from post body into other text editors.
[📰 Posts] Auto-hyperlinking link-like text in post bodies now behaves as expected.
[📰 Posts] “Save as draft” button is now disabled while the new post modal is saving.
[📇 Profiles] Background image is now displayed in the member profile.
