Search results pages


View all search results and use filters to narrow down the options.

Finding what you need is now simpler with improved search functionality. All matching results are now displayed on new search results pages, rather than just the top five results found in quick search. You can use filters like Community, Author, and Tags to refine search results. And search results are organized into categories, so you can easily jump to the section you need for quicker access. You can get to search results pages in several ways: clicking the magnifying glass; pressing the ‘enter’ key; or clicking on a search suggestion that appears when you type.


Event management


Organize and promote important events, dates, and deadlines.

Event functionality has been enhanced to make managing and promoting events easier and more effective.

  • Add-to-calendar: Members can easily add an event to their Google, Outlook, or Microsoft365 calendar from inside Roundtable or via email notifications.
  • Event attachments: You can now keep track of the materials associated with your event, such as the agenda for an upcoming meeting or the recording of a webinar. Resources attached to events are automatically added to the resource library and made searchable alongside all other resources.
  • Tags: Events can now have optional tags, making them easier to organize and find later.
  • Notices: Visually differentiate reminders and updates – such as deadlines, milestones, and FYIs – from events that include attendees at a specific place and time.

Resource viewer


A full-screen view now offers detailed resource information, including video transcripts.

Transcripts are divided into sections for easy navigation—clicking a timestamp takes you to that exact point in the video. The transcript matches the captions you’d see when enabled on the video. You’ll also find key details like the resource description, date added, and a link to the original post, comment, or event. Resources can be easily edited by the uploader or a community manager directly from this view.


Enhancements

Improvements to the platform that make it more powerful and easier-to-use.

  • [📅 Events] Events can be one-click added to Google, Outlook, and Microsoft365 calendars.
  • [📅 Events] Standalone event pages now show an embed of Google Maps when there's an event address.
  • [📅 Events] Event locations now allow free text, allowing you to enter locations that are not on Google Maps such as meeting room names.
  • [📅 Events] Manually typing an event date and then selecting “all day” now uses the entered event date rather than wiping it.
  • [📅 Events] Create/edit event button now displays a “saving” state.
  • [📅 Events] Event end date/time defaults to 1 hour after start date/time.
  • [📅 Events] Events on posts now show the ability to “add to calendar”.
  • [📅 Events] Events that are shared or created via posts now provide a reference to that post on the event standalone page.
  • [📅 Events] Events can now be added directly from the Feed tab.
  • [📅 Events] Standalone event page now shows the position & badges of the event creator.
  • [📅 Events] Event date fields now have more intuitive field labels.
  • [🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Community Managers can no longer attempt to invite a member to a Community when that member already belongs to all Communities that the CM manages.
  • [🧭 Navigation] Member count within a Community is now displayed immediately.
  • [🧭 Navigation] Clicking the notifications icon when the menu is open now closes the menu.
  • [🧭 Navigation] Auto-generated usernames use first-last and only add unique identifiers if that’s already taken.
  • [✍️ Onboarding] Invited users navigating to a Join URL can easily accept the invite.
  • [✍️ Onboarding] Invited users signing up via Join links are auto-added to the Community if they have a pending invite from a CM.
  • [📰 Posts] “Unlisted” Vimeo videos are now playable in post previews.
  • [📇 Profiles] Organization profile “Headquarters” location now allows free text.
  • [📇 Profiles] The “Update profile” button in the account modal was removed to reduce confusion around how to update your full profile information.
  • [📚 Resources] “Shared via” links are now nicely formatted in the resource library and full-page resource viewer.
  • [📚 Resources] Resource uploads are now faster, more resilient to network hiccups, and display progress indicators.
  • [📚 Resources] Resource library “Uploaded by” column is now titled “Added by” to match the title in search, filters, and resource viewer.
  • [📚 Resources] Attachment thumbnails on posts now show the “title” instead of the original filename.
  • [📚 Resources] Attachment thumbnail titles are now smaller to allow viewing more of the title.
  • [🔍 Search] Quick search results now show tags in the badge treatment.

Fixes

Issues addressed to improve the product experience.

  • [🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Member management now shows all pending invites, not just the first 10.
  • [🧭 Navigation] Edits to the Community name are now displayed immediately.
  • [📰 Posts] Deleting a post when viewing the standalone post page no longer redirects you to Google.com.
  • [📰 Posts] Link previews now show expected capitalization of page descriptions.
  • [📇 Profiles] Location input now consistently shows autocomplete results.
  • [📚 Resources] Edits to Featured resources are now displayed immediately.
