Announcements
Announcements are designed to deliver temporary, time-sensitive updates that stand out to your members. Common use cases include deadlines, emergency alerts, and important reminders.
Creating announcements
Space managers can create Announcements in two ways:
- Announcements Admin Page – Create and manage announcements here.
- "Add New" Button in the Space – Quickly create an announcement from within your Space.
Announcement Details
- Title & Body – Add a clear title and message to communicate your update effectively.
- Start On – Set the date and time for the announcement to be published and members to be notified. If left blank, it will be posted immediately.
- End On – Choose when the announcement should stop being displayed in Roundtable.
Notification Options
You can choose to notify members via email and/or SMS when the announcement is published. If no notification option is selected, the announcement will be visible within the Space but will not trigger an email or SMS alert.
Editing announcements
To edit or delete an announcement, navigate to the Announcements admin page and click the more options menu on the announcement you want to modify.
- Scheduled Announcements – All settings can be edited before publication.
- Live Announcements – Only the "End On" date can be adjusted.
Announcement notifications
- Announcements have a dedicated notification preference, allowing members to manage announcement alerts separately from posts and other activity.
- Members can enable SMS notifications to receive text alerts when an announcement is published. To activate SMS notifications, a verified phone number is required in account settings.
Viewing announcements
- Announcements are displayed within the Space where they were created and appear prominently at the top of the Feed.
- Members can dismiss an announcement by clicking the “X” on the banner. Once dismissed, it will not reappear for that member. If multiple announcements are active, the one published first will appear at the top. Members can navigate through multiple announcements.

- Q: Who can create announcements?
- A: Only space managers have the ability to create and manage announcements.
- Q: Can announcements be created for multiple Spaces at once?
- A: No, announcements are only visible within the specific Space where they were created.
- Q: Will members receive notifications for all announcements?
- A: Members will only receive email and/or SMS notifications if the creator enables these options when publishing the announcement AND the member has their announcement notification preference enabled. Otherwise, the announcement will only be visible within the Space.
- Q: How can members enable SMS notifications for announcements?
- A: Members must have a verified phone number in their account settings to enable SMS notifications. They can do this by clicking on their profile image in the top right corner, selecting “Manage account”, and then adding a phone number.
- Q: Can I extend the duration of a live announcement?
- A: Yes, you can update the "End On" date to keep the announcement visible for a longer period. This will not send additional notifications to your members.
- Q: Can I reorder announcements?
- A: No, announcements are automatically ordered by their publication time, with the oldest appearing first.
