View images, PDFs, and videos directly in Roundtable

Images, PDFs, and videos attached to posts or uploaded to the Resources library can now be viewed directly in Roundtable via the “preview” screen. Members can download the file to their device, or copy a link to the resource to their clipboard for easy sharing. If the file can't be previewed, it will be downloaded directly to the device.

Create comments via email by replying to Roundtable notifications

Receive an email notification from Roundtable and want to send a quick response without logging in? We’ve got you covered! As part of our theme of “meeting you where you are”, members can reply via email to “New Comment” notifications and their email will be posted as a reply on that comment thread. (This also works for “New Message” notifications – respond to the email notification to send a message in the message thread).

Replies will be added as comments on the originating post.

Member-to-member invites

In order to streamline the invite process, all members can now invite others to join their Roundtable community. Unless invited by a Community Manager, all invitees will still have to request to join the community, which will be approved or denied by the CM.

The notifications sent to the invitee and to the Community Manager include the name of the member who created the invitation.

The member who created the invitation will also receive a notification confirming whether their invitee accepted or declined their invite.

Multiple member badges

Badges can provide helpful context about a member, such as being a mentor, committee member, or subject-matter expert. Members can now have up to 3 badges assigned to their profile, which are displayed next to the member’s name on posts and in the member directory.

Badges are added/removed by Community Managers within the Member Management page, and are community-specific for members.

Enhancements

[📊 Analytics] Now tracking which members have seen a post. This "impression" data is currently available to Community Managers on request.
[🏠 Homepage] Sort the homepage by "Last activity".
[🏠 Homepage] A "Last activity" timestamp is displayed on the Community tiles. This timestamp is updated when a new post, comment, resource, event, or member is added to the community.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Member management shows a "Last Active" timestamp. This represents the last time a member viewed a community (e.g. loaded feed, events, resources, or members) or took any action within that community (e.g. created post, comment, reaction, etc).
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Members can cancel their request to join a community. After canceling, CMs will no longer see the pending request in the Member management. Members can re-request to join after canceling.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] The number of accepted members in a community is now shown on the Members tab. The count does not include "pending", "invited", “left”, or "removed" members.
[💬 Messages] Send direct messages by replying to "New Message" email notifications.
[🧭 Navigation] Pages update to the mobile view at a narrower width.
[🧭 Navigation] Timestamps are more user-friendly throughout the product (on posts, member management "Last active", and communities homepage "Last activity").
[✍️ Onboarding] Community invite link URLs (i.e. /join) show unauthenticated members the sign-up page instead of the sign-in page.
[🤖 Performance] The Homepage and Feed load 300ms faster.
[🤖 Performance] Uploading member profile and community logo images is faster and properly compresses the file.
[📰 Posts] Navigate directly to a comment via notifications, or by clicking the "shared via" in the Resources table (which is now populated with "Comment on {Post name}").
[📰 Posts] Post titles no longer start with "FW:" for emails forwarded from Outlook.
[📰 Posts] Text bullets now look better for emails forwarded from Outlook.
[📰 Posts] Tags are not clickable when viewing a post in the standalone view.
[📇 Profiles] Member profiles support adding phone numbers unrelated to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Phone numbers currently being used for 2FA were backfilled into this new field for existing members.
[📚 Resources] Video attachments on posts show a thumbnail preview.
[📚 Resources] Members can link directly to a resource via the preview or the (...) menu in the Resources tab.

Fixes

[📅 Events] Long event names embedded in posts wrap to avoid the "view event" button.
[🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Member mgmt] Changing a member's role properly shows/hides the Members management navigation link.
[✍️ Onboarding] Members do not see an error after account creation.
[🤖 Performance] SVG files can’t be uploaded to the application in order to prevent XSS.
[📰 Posts] Comment reply autofocus works in standalone post view.
[📇 Profiles] The "New project" form has correct field spacing.
[📚 Resources] Members do not see S3 expired XML pages when attempting to access resources from the feed.
